Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose this week by 2.47% or 249.87 points to the level of 10,386.44 points, compared to 10,136.57 points last week.
Al Rayan Islamic Index leapt 2.81% to 3,877.79 points, and the All Share Index advanced 2.46% to 2,809.65 points.
Turnover decreased 25.8% to QAR 1.7 billion ($466.89 million) from QAR 2.29 billion ($628.93 million) last week. Trading volume also declined 18.2% to 52.31 million shares, versus 63.93 million shares exchanged a week ago.
The bourse’s main sectors grew collectively, topped by insurance with a rise of 8.19%, followed by real estate (+4.29%), telecom (+3.82), industrial (+1.86%), banking (+1.6%), consumer goods and services (+0.49%) and transportation (0.36%).
Woqod was the worst performing share as it fell 12.76%, whereas Dlala Holding was the best after adding 18.08%.
Gulf International was the week’s most active with a trading volume of 7.45 million shares exchanged at QAR 283.46 million ($77.85 million).
