Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Tuesday’s session with a rise of 0.47% or 53.04 points to the level of 11,314.55 points.
The index was supported by the rise in QNB, Industries Qatar, Masraf Al Rayan and QIB by 0.53%, 0.52%, 1.83% and 0.62% respectively.
Trading volume increased to 7.09 million shares from 4.49 million shares exchanged on Monday, turnover also rose to QAR 312.77 million from QAR 182.31 million.
The transportation sector was the best performer after rising by 0.93%, backed by an increase of 1.42% in Nakilat.
The insurance, banking sectors also leapt by 0.79% and 0.74% respectively.
The telecom sector added 0.33% as Vodafone Qatar advanced 1.25%. The stock made the highest trading activity with a volume of 1.21 million shares and a turnover of QAR 14.72 million.
On the other hand, the real estate sector fell alone by 0.16% as Barwa declined by 0.4%.
