Qatari bourse gains 58 pts at close; 2nd rise in row

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose at Tuesday’s close by 0.56% or 58.20 points to the level of 10,484.09 points.

The index was backed by the increase in blue chips as QNB, Ezdan and Industries Qatar grew by 1.27%, 0.7% and 0.56% respectively.

Trading volume increased to 5.24 million shares from 3.69 million shares exchanged on Monday, turnover also rose to QAR 232.45 million from QAR 173.76 million.

The industrial sector was the best performer after increasing by 0.7% as Aamal led the green list by adding 2.22%. The banking sector levelled up 0.65% due to a growth of 1.3% in Khaleeji Commercial Bank.

The real estate sector advanced 0.62% as United Development and Mazaya Qatar rose by 1% and 0.3% respectively.

On the other hand, the insurance and transportation sectors fell by 0.22% and 0.04% respectively.
