Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index rose 0.76% or 78.26 points at Tuesday’s close, reaching the level of 10,388.18 points.
The index was backed by the rise in QNB, Ezdan and Industries Qatar by 0.19%, 1.54% and 1.14% respectively.
Trading volume fell to 3.96 million shares from 6.3 million shares exchanged on Monday, turnover also declined to QAR 146.95 million from QAR 221.7 million.
The real estate sector was the best performer after adding 1.22%, the industrial sector leapt 0.95% as Qatar Industrial Manufacturing topped the green list with a growth of 3.33%. Qatari Investors Group was the largest-traded stock with a volume of 650,610 shares exchanged at QAR 32.29 million.
The insurance sector grew 0.8%, the telecom sector leapt 0.69% and the banking sector increased 0.36%, although Al khaliji Bank led decliners a fall of 2.12%.
The transportation sector declined alone by 0.28%.
