Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index fell at Monday’s close by 1.28% or 126.76 points to the level of 9,744.97 points, its lowest level since five months.
Trading volume decreased to 6.05 million shares from 7.8 million shares exchanged on Sunday, turnover also shrank to QAR 230.61 million from QAR 269.81 million.
Ezdan dropped 2.78%, Industries Qatar slipped 1.09%, Commercial Bank of Qatar shrank 1.06% and QNB fell 0.65%.
The bourse’s sectors fell collectively, topped by the real estate sector with a drop of 2.33%, the telecom sector declined 1.67% as Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar slid by 1.8% and 1.2% respectively.
The transportation sector closed 2% down, pressured by a decrease of 3.5%.
Islamic Holding led the red list after falling by 3.6%, while Aamal topped gainers by adding 1.76%.
