Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) declined in April’s first week by 2.04% or 211.44 points to the level of 10,376.20 points.
Al Rayan Islamic Index dropped 2.36% to 3,966.25 points, and the All Share Index shrank 1.88% to 2,827.84 points.
Turnover decreased 2.36% to QAR 1.7 billion ($466.8 million) from QAR 1.85 billion ($507.98 million) last week. Trading volume also fell 12.41% to 42.38 million shares from 48.39 million shares exchanged a week ago.
The industrial and real estate were the worst performing sectors with a fall of 3.05% and 2.18% respectively, while the insurance rose alone by 0.65%.
Widam Food topped gainers by adding 11.62%, whereas Qatar for Cinema and Film Distribution headed losers with a 13.62% decrease.
Qatari Investors Group was the most active stock in the week with a trading volume of 4.8 million shares exchanged at QAR 292.99 million ($80.45 million).
The main index rose last week by 90.70 points to the level of 10,376.20 points.
