Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index declined at Tuesday’s close by 0.43% or 42.03 points to the level of 9,740.80 points.
Trading volume increased to 6.65 million shares from 6.29 million shares exchanged on Monday, turnover also rose to QAR 245.3 million from QAR 158.6 million.
The real estate sector slid 0.9% due to the fall in United Development and Ezdan by 2.09% and 1% respectively.
The banking sector retreated 0.54% as Commercial Bank of Qatar shrank 4.02%.
The industrial sector dropped 0.25% as Aamal decreased 1.66%, the telecom sector declined 0.15%, pressured by a 1.3% decrease in Vodafone Qatar.
On the flipside, the insurance sector grew 0.23% as Al Khaleej Takaful, up 3.08%, topped the green list and Qatar Insurance advanced 0.25%.
