Doha – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Sunday’s trading rising 0.13% or 14.66 points to the level of 11,335.05 points.
The index was backed by the rise in blue chips as QNB, Mazaya Qatar, Al Khaliji Bank and Doha Bank by 0.36%, 0.34%, 0.05% and 0.13% respectively.
Trading volume reached 480,000 shares exchanged by 10:00 AM Doha time through 490 transactions, making a turnover of QAR 20.4 million.
The telecom, banking and consumer goods sectors were the worst performers as they dropped by 0.3%, 0.23% and 0.19% respectively, whereas the real estate and industrial sectors rose by 0.56% and 0.14% respectively.
Aamal led the green list with a growth of 1.9%, while Doha Insurance topped the red list after falling by 3.7%.
