Qatari bourse opens in green

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose in Tuesday’s early trade by 0.16% or 16.05 points to the level of 10,161.44 points.

Al Rayan Islamic index also popped 0.72% higher or 28.44 points to 3,997.96 points, and the All Share Index advanced 0.36% or 10.41 points to 2,828.89 points.

Turnover came to QAR 131 million ($35.96 million) as 3.4 million shares were exchanged through 1,750 transactions.

Qatar for Cinema and Film Distribution was the best performing share after adding 9.98%, while Al Meera Group topped losers by falling 3.11%.

Barwa Real Estate was the largest-traded stock with 871,100 shares exchanged at QAR 30.8 million ($8.45 million), rising 3.56%.

Meanwhile, Islamic Holding Group made then highest liquidity with QAR 36 million ($9.9 million) as 441,700 shares were exchanged. The stock increased 1.86%.

The bourse’s main index closed yesterday with a fall of 0.82% or 83.63 points to 10,145.39 points.
