Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Thursday’s trading falling 0.14% or 14.63 points to the level of 10,305.11 points.
By 10:10 Am Doha time, 1.91 million shares were exchanged at QAR 83.13 million through 693 transactions.
The index was dragged by the fall in blue chips, as Ezdan Holding declined 0.79%, Industries Qatar shrank 0.99% and Masraf Al Rayan dropped 0.57%.
The insurance sector was the worst performer after falling 0.78%, pressured by a decrease of 0.9% in Qatar Insurance.
The telecom, real estate and transportation sectors also retreated by 0.39%, 0.26% and 0.21% respectively.
The banking sector shrank 0.04% as Commercial Bank of Qatar topped losers by dropping 1.44%.
Industries Qatar was the most active stock with 467,620 shares exchanged at QAR 47.09 million.
