Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index grew in Wednesday’s early trading by 0.42% or 15.03 points to the level of 11,131.45 points.
Trading volume reached 672,900 shares exchanged by 10:00 AM Doha time through 483 transactions, making a turnover of QAR 30.2 million.
The index was supported by the increase in blue chips as QNB topped the green list with a growth of 1.3%. Qatar Islamic Bann and Qatar First Bank also leapt by 0.75% and 0.26% respectively.
The insurance, telecom and banking sectors were the best performers after adding 0.95%, 0.39% and 0.26% respectively, while the industrial sector was the worst performer after dropping by 0.5%.
