Doha – Mubasher: The Qatari bourse's main index ended this week on negative note, down 0.41% or 42.93 points to close at 1,0479.28 points.
The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) Al Rayan Islamic Index lost 1.63% to reach 3,895.22 points, while All share Index eased 0.66% to close at 2,789.90 points.
The market turnover advanced 163.33% to reach QAR 2.5 billion, compared with 954,800 a week earlier.
The number of traded stocks surged 184.62% to 64 million shares, compared with 22.4 million at the end of the last week.
Meanwhile, the number of executed contracts leaped 52.37% to 25,840 contracts, up from 16,850 contracts at the end of the previous week.
The market capitalization shed 0.42% or QAR 2.3 billion to reach QAR 550.6 billion.
Out of the 42 companies traded through the week, decliners outnumbered advancers by 30 to 10, while 3 others remained unchanged.
As for the market's sectors, the insurance sector was the best performer, through the week, as it inched up 0.90%, while the services sector was the steepest as it declined 3.07%.
