Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Monday in the green zone, recording the second rise in a row.
The benchmark index surged 2.67% or 256.23 points to the level of 9,857.20 points, Al Rayan Islamic Index increased 2.64% to 3,537.03 points and the All Share Index edged up 2.57% to 2,627.38 points.
Trading volume rose today by 3.5% to 8.37 million shares from 8.09 million shares exchanged yesterday, Turnover also jumped 27.4% to QAR 303.6 million from QAR 238.3 million.
The main sectors moved up collectively, topped by insurance as it grew 4.05%, followed by real estate (+3.76%), services (+2.83%) and telecom (+0.4%).
Salam International Investment topped risers by adding 10%, while Islamic Holding was the worst performer after shrinking 3.86%.
United Development made the biggest trading volume activity with 1.5 million traded shares, while Industries Qatar made the biggest trading volume activity with liquidity of more than QAR 40 million.
The benchmark index closed yesterday in green, as it climbed 115.07 points or 1.21% to the level of 9,600.97 points.
