Qatari bourse starts session in red

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index kicked off the first session of the ew year in red, as it dropped about 0.73% or 76 points to the level of 10,352.82 points.

In Sunday’s early trade, Al Rayan Islamic Index declined 0.73% to 3,827 points, and the All Shares Index shrank 0.77% to 2,755 points. 

Trading value reached QAR 35.04 million through 599 trades on 1.09 million shares.

The insurance sector rose alone by 2.19%, while the industrial sector topped the losers after falling 1.35%.

Qatar Insurance was the strongest share with a 3.05% increase, whereas Widam Food was the lowest with a drop of 3.41%.

The QSE’s benchmark index closed Thursday lower 0.06% or about 6.31 points to the level of 10,429.36 points.
