Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index closed Sunday’s session rising by 0.2% or 19.25 points to the level of 9,734.18 points.
Trading volume increased to 4.92 million shares as compared to 4.34 million shares exchanged on Thursday, while turnover decreased to QAR 139.8 million from QAR 152.49 million.
The real estate sector grew 0.92% as Barwa Real Estate led the green list by adding 2.38%, the telecom sector also grew 0.39%, backed by an increase of 1.65% in Vodafone Qatar and 0.11% in Ooredoo.
The banking sector advanced 0.2% due to a 0.74% rise in Qatar Oman Investment.
On the flipside, the insurance sector dropped 1.12% as Qatar General Insurance slid 2.84%, and the industrial sector retreated 0.4% due to a 1.5% decrease in Aamal.
