Qatari c.bank's loans, deposits rise in Dec. – Report

Doha – Mubasher: Qatar Central Bank report said that credit rate rose 1.2% month-on-months in December 2015 and 15% in fiscal year 2015, according to NBK Capital, the investment arm of National Bank of Kuwait.

The report added that public-sector loans increased 1.1% m/m, private-sector loans soared 1% m/m and outside-Qatar loans were up 2.3% m/m in December.

Meanwhile, deposits grew by 2.6% m/m in December and 8% in FY2015, which was mainly due to a 35% surge in non-residential deposits.

Private-sector deposits were up 1.6% m/m, while public-sector deposits decreased by 5.2% m/m in December 2015.
