Mubasher: The International Monterey Fund (IMF) expects Qatar’s gross domestic product (GDP) to grow by 2.7% in 2018, achieving its highest growth rate since 2015, compared with 1.6% last year.
As for next year, the IMF is forecasting the Qatari economy to further expand and grow by 2.8%.
The IMF also expects inflation to increase to 3.7% in 2019, after settling in 2018 near 3.5%, compared with 0.4% in 2017.
A recent report by the IMF expected the economies of oil-exporting countries to grow by 1.4% this year, and 2% in the upcoming year.
