Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose in Monday’s early trading by 0.21% or 20.67 points to the level of 9,750.77 points.
The All Share Index and Al Rayan Islamic Index grew 0.15% and 0.35%, respectively.
Trading volume reached 1.87 million shares which were exchanged at QAR 84.52 million through 1,480 trades.
Telecom was the best performing sector after rising 0.99%, supported by an increase of 1.04% and 0.8% in Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar respectively.
The insurance sector also advanced by 0.64% as Qatar Islamic Insurance moved 1.69% up.
On the other hand, the real estate and banking sectors declined 0.16% and 0.02% respectively.
Medicare Group topped gainers by adding 5.08%, whereas Qatar and Oman Investment led decliners after falling 2.11%.
Medicare dominated volumes as 320,000 shares were traded with a turnover of QAR 29.85 million.
The main index fell yesterday by 0.19% to 9,730 points, its lowest level in three months.
