Qatari index back to red early; 0.34% down

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) benchmark index returned to the red territory in Wednesday’s early trading, amid a fall in most of its sectors led by real estate.

The main index plummeted about 0.34% or around 35 points, reaching the level of 10,499.75 points.

Also, QE Al Rayan Islamic Share decreased 0.01% to 3,943 points and the All Shares Index slipped 0.18% to 2,801 points.

Trading value reached about QAR 27.22 million through around 618 trades on 682.15 shares.

The real estate sector led the decliners as it ended 1.14% down, while the industrial sector topped the gainers with a 0.55% rise.

Investors Group Holding Company was the best performer in early trading after jumping 8.07%, while United Insurance was the weakest with a 1.83% decrease.

QSE main index closed Tuesday in green after gaining 444.24 points or 4.40% to 10,535.05 points.
