Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index opened Thursday’s session with a rise of 0.31% or 31 points to the level of 9,919.3 points.
Trading volume reached 2.71 million shares exchanged through 1,917 transactions, with a turnover of QAR 94.7 million.
The industrial was the best performing sector after gaining 1.05%, while transportation shrank alone by 0.48%.
Aamal led gainers after adding 2.46%, while Commercial Bank of Qatar topped losers after falling 1.3%.
Gulf International was the most traded stock with a volume of 443,820 shares exchanged at QAR 15.45 million. It rose 1.5%.
Meanwhile, Medicare Group led in value with liquidity of QAR 16.51 million injected into 154,000 shares.
The index rose yesterday by 0.05% or 5 points to the level of 9,888.39 points.
