Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index fell in Tuesday’s early trading by 0.28% or 27.8 points to the level of 10,064.24 points.
Al Rayan Islamic Index and the All Share Index also ticked down 0.48% and 0.34% respectively.
Turnover reached QAR 43.9 million after 1.27 shares were exchanged through 591 transactions.
The consumer goods and services was the worst performing sector after declining 0.66%, while transportation edged up 0.26% to become the sole gainer.
Doha Insurance topped losers with a 2.4% decrease, whereas Qatar Industrial Manufacturing led gainers by adding 1.28%.
Widam Food was the most active stock with a trading volume of 297,700 shares and a turnover of QAR 18.5 million. The stock fell 0.64%.
The bourse’s benchmark index closed yesterday with a fall of 0.94% or 96 points to the level of 10,092.07 points.
