Qatari index opens up 63 points

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose 0.67% or 63.08 points to the level of 9,544.38 points in Monday’s early trading.

Trading volume came to 2.69 million shares exchanged at QAR 56.9 million and through 1,180 transactions.

The real estate sector rose 2.43%, consumer goods and services (+1.09%), insurance (+0.76%), telecom (+0.45%) and banking (+0.32%). Meanwhile, the transportation and industrial sectors fell 0.83% and 0.25% respectively.

Medicare Group topped risers by adding 6.15%, while Gulf Warehousing headed losers with a decrease of 6.05%.

The main index closed yesterday at the level of 9,481.3 points after gaining 2.26% or 209.29 points.
