Doha – Mubasher: The Qatari bourse’s main index shrank 0.49% or 50.64 points to the level of 10,385.03 points in Thursday’s midsession.
Trading volume came to 940,280 shares exchanged at QAR 30.4 million through 707 trades.
Transportation lost 0.78%, followed by the telecom, banking and real estate sectors which fell 0.63%, 0.60% and 0.52%, respectively. Meanwhile, the goods, insurance and industrial sectors rose by 0.50%, 0.42% and 0.40%, respectively.
Qatar Electricity and Water was the weakest stock with a drop of 1.39%, while Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance was the strongest with a growth of 2.15%.
The index closed yesterday at 10,435.67 points after rising 0.36%.
