Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchanged (QSE) brock the level of 10,000 points on Tuesday as it rose 0.9% or 89.5 points to 10,002.8 points.
Al Rayan Islamic Index leapt 2.06% to 3,604.75 and the All Share Index also added 1.26% to 2,688.8 points.
Turnover retreated 19% to QAR 401.36 million from QAR 495.97 million on Monday. Trading volume reached 9.79 million shares through 6,090 trades, compared to 14.58 million shares exchanged yesterday through 6,140 transactions.
The bourse’s main sectors rose semi-collectively, with transportation on top of risers as it grew 2.84%, followed by real estate (+1.79%), industrial (+1.72%), consumer goods and services (+1.25%), banks (+0.92%) and telecom (+0.36%). Meanwhile, the insurance sector fell alone by 0.59%.
Qatari Investors was the best performing share by jumping 9.93%, while Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance topped losers as it decreased 3.77%.
Gulf International was the most active as 2.22 million shares were traded at a value of QAR 80.04 million.
The main index edged up yesterday 0.06% or 5.5 points to the level of 9,913.32 points.
