Doha – Mubasher: Qatar’s consumer price index (CPI) grew 0.1% year-on-year and 0.4% month-on-month in June, recording 108.66 points.
The prices of a group of five segments increased last month, compared to May, including entertainment and culture, food and beverages, and transportation, according to a report released by the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics.
Meanwhile, the prices of clothes and footwear declined 2.6% month-on-month in June, while housing, water, gas and other fuels inched down 0.02% month-on-month in the same period.
Qatar’s CPI levelled up in June after the prices of seven segments inflated, in comparison of the year-ago period, while the prices of three segments declined in the same period against its figures in June 2017, the ministry’s data showed.
