Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s main index opened Monday in the red zone, amid a fall in most of its sectors.
The benchmark index dropped about 0.31% or around 30 points, reaching the level of 9,882.53 points.
QE Al Rayan Islamic Index fell by about 0.95% to 3,621 points, and the All Shares Index plummeted 0.37% to 2,637 points.
Trading value reached about QAR 25.2 million through 579 trades on around 575,700 shares.
The insurance sector headed the risers after advancing 2.26%, while transportation came first on the red list with a 1.26% decrease.
Gulf General Cooperative Insurance topped the gainers in early trading with 5.47%, while Gulf Warehousing led the losers with 9.47%.
The benchmark index closed Sunday 0.52% or about 50.9 points higher to 9,912.92 points.
