Doha – Mubasher: The Qatari real gross domestic product (GDP) achieved a 1.9% growth in the third quarter of 2017 to reach QAR 208.92 billion from QAR 205.05 billion in the year-ago period.
The nominal GDP grew 7.4% to QAR 151.7 billion in Q3-17, compared to QAR 141.28 billion in the comparative period in 2016, according to a report released by the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics (MDPS).
Qatar’s GDP surged 3.9% quarter-on-quarter to QAR 145.99 billion in Q3-17, the report revealed.
Meanwhile, mining and quarrying sector increased by 0.2% YoY to QAR 102.78 billion in the three-month period ended 31 September, the MDPS’ data showed.
