Qatari regulator alters GWC’s foreign ownership ratio

Doha-Mubasher: The Qatar Central Securities Depository (QCSD) changed the foreign ownership ratio in Gulf Warehousing Company (GWC) to reach 49%, according to a bourse statement.

The new ratio, standing at 49% of the company’s capital, will be take effect as of 22 March.

This decision is issued pursuant to law no. 9 which allows non-Qatari investors to own shares in listed companies by no more than 49% of capital.

The company’s stock was the top gainer with a 9.8% rise after trading of 44,510 shares, with turnover of QAR 2.36 million.
