Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index increased at Tuesday’s close by 1.18% or 121.46 points to the level of 10,393.83 points.
Trading volume rose to 9.69 million shares from 8.08 million shares exchanged on Monday, turnover also leapt to QAR 319.46 million from QAR 220.11 million.
Six sectors closed in green, topped by the banking sector with a growth of 2.4% as Masraf Al Rayan led gainers by adding 6.1% and QNB rose 2.5%.
The telecom sector leapt 1.64%, backed by an increase of 2% in Ooredoo.
The real estate sector advanced 0.6%, supported by the rise in Barwa and Ezdan by 1.9% and 0.7% respectively.
On the other hand, the industrial sector dropped 0.53% as Qatari Investors, the worst performing stock, shrank 3.3%.
Masraf Al Rayan made the highest trading activity with a volume of 2.81 million shares exchanged at QAR 108,011 million.
