Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose on Monday by 0.31% or 31.01 points to the level of 10,159.66 points.
Al Rayan Islamic Index also grew 0.98% to 4,002.68 points, and the All Share Index advanced 0.36% to 2,830.6 points.
Trading volume increased 12.5% to 13.2 million shares from 6.2 million shares exchanged yesterday.
Turnover also rose 68.64% to QAR 374.17 million from QAR 222.18 million on Sunday.
The consumer goods and services, insurance and real estate sectors grew by 1.18%, 1.11% and 0.64% respectively.
Meanwhile, the telecom sector shrank alone by 0.76% as Ooredoo declined 2.07%.
National Leasing Holding (Alijarah) was the best performing share after adding 10%, whereas Doha Insurance topped losers by falling 7.14%.
Alijarah was the most traded as 2.78 million shares were exchanged at QAR 50.8 million, while Medicare Group made the highest liquidity with QAR 59.67 million after 507,430 shares changed hands.
The bourse’s main index fell yesterday by 0.36% or 36.11 points to the level of 10,128.65 points.
