Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Wednesday in the green territory, regaining its position at 10,000 points.
The main index rose 0.45% or 45.18 points to the level of 10,014.43 points, the All Share index increased 0.15% to 2,713.7 points and Al Rayan Islamic Index also added 0.9% to 3,711.55 points.
Turnover decreased 31.95% to QAR 412.6 million ($113.32 million) from QAR 606.3 million ($166.5 million) on Tuesday.
Trading volume reached 12.75 million shares through 5,680 trades, compared to 13.34 million shares exchanged yesterday through 5,200 transactions.
The banking sector topped the green list with a rise of 1.04%, followed by real estate (+0.69%), consumer goods and services (+0.57%) and industrial (+0.44%).
Meanwhile, the telecom sector headed the red list with a fall of 4.31%, followed by insurance and transportation as the declined 4.26% and 0.13% respectively.
Dlala Holding was the best performing share after adding 5.7%, whereas Ooredoo dipped 6.4%.
Islamic Holding made the biggest trading value with liquidity of QAR 40.64 million ($11.16 million), Vodafone Qatar recorded the largest trading volume with 2.01 million shares.
The bourse’s main gauge closed yesterday at the level of 9,969.25 points, rising 0.78% or 76.93 points.
