Doha – Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Tuesday’s session at a rise, amid gains in most sectors, thus paring losses incurred in the previous sessions.
The main index rose by 5.51% or 470 points to close at 8,986.50 points. Rayan Islamic Index also added 6.01% to reach 3,215.85 points. QE All Share Index ended 5.08% higher at 2,384.39 points.
A total of 14.01 million shares were exchanged in 6,881 trades at turnover reaching QAR 367.34 million.
The real estate sector was the best performer (+8.15%), followed by services (+5.94%), while insurance tailed the list with a rise of 1.42%.
Out of the 41 companies traded today, advancers outnumbered decliners by 36 to 5.
Most stocks were in green, topped by Barwa and Widan that soared by 10% each; meanwhile, Zad Holding was the worst performer with a slump of 8.58%.
Vodafone Qatar was the top active with a traded volume of 1.97 million shares, while Masraf Al Rayan came on top with traded value exceeding QAR 39 million.
