Qatari stock market opens in green

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index gained 0.65% or 65.2 points in Wednesday’s early trading, reaching the level of 10,073.97 points.

Also, Al Rayan Islamic Index moved up 0.88% or 34.33 points to 3,939.06 points, and the All Share Index rose 0.53% or about 14.8 points to 2,805.32 points.

Trading volume reached 2.03 million shares after 1,300 transactions were executed, making a turnover of QAR 75.13 million ($20.63 million).

National Leasing Holding (Alijarah) topped gainers with a growth of 3.14%, while Salam International Investment was the worst performer after dropping 8.05%.

Qatari Investors Group made the highest trading activity with a volume of 448,000 shares which were exchanged at QAR 27.5 million ($7.55 million). The stock rose 2.5%.

The bourse’s main gauge declined yesterday by 2.2% or 225 points to the level of 10,008.77 points.
