Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Tuesday’s session in red, as it declined 1.14% or 117.74 points to 10,199.91 points.
Al Rayan Islamic Index decreased 0.56% to 3,830.12 points, and the All Share Index dipped 0.83% to 2,771.71 points.
Trading volume rose 69.4% to 16.77 million shares from 9.9 million shares exchanged on Monday.
Turnover also increased 64.07% to QAR 456.81 million ($125.4 million) from QAR 278.42 million ($76.45 million) yesterday.
Real estate was the worst performing sector after falling 1.02%, followed by banking (-1%), industrial (-0.92%), insurance (-0.85%), transportation (-0.66%) and telecom (-0.16%).
On the other hand, the consumer goods and services rose 0.4%.
Qatar Gas Transport topped losers with a 6.45% decline, while Qatari German Medical Devices was the best performer after adding 7.82%.
National Leasing Holding (Alijarah) was the most active share with a trading volume of 3.86 million shares exchanged at QAR 66.14 million ($18.16 million).
The main gauge fell yesterday by 0.1% to 10,317.65 points.
