Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index rose in Monday’s mid trading by 0.25% or 24.7 points to the level of 9,975.02 points.
Trading volume reached 3 million shares exchanged through 2,325 trades, making a turnover of QAR 104 million.
The telecom was the best performing sector after rising 2.01%, backed by the growth in Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar by 2.33% and 0.85% respectively.
Meanwhile, the consumer goods and services declined 4.5% due to the fall in Al Meera, Woqod and Medicare.
Qatar Insurance led gainers by adding 4.5%, while Qatar and Oman Investment topped losers after falling 1.3%.
The bourse’s main gauge increased yesterday by 0.09%, recording its fifth rise in a row.
