Qatari stocks gain 122 points at open

Doha – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) gained 122.24 or 1.29% in Sunday’s early trading, reaching the level of 9,608.14 points.

Turnover reached QAR 74.48 million as 2.48 million shares were exchanged through 1,045 transactions.

The consumer goods and services sector rose 1.96%, followed by industrial (+1.88%), telecom (+1.62%), real estate (+1.54%) and transportation (+0.75%). However, the insurance sector fell alone by 1.76%.

Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance was the worst performing share after losing 9.83%, whereas Widam was the strongest share as it saw a hike of 8.78%.

The main index closed Thursday in red after shrinking 1.39% or 133.6 points to 9,485.9 points.
