Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index declined on Monday by 0.17% or 17.61 points to the level of 10,234.36 points.
Al Rayan Islamic Index fell 1.17% to 3,997.2 points, and the All Share Index dipped 0.44% to 2,843.21 points.
Trading volume rose 9.24% to 7.82 million shares from 7.16 million shares exchanged yesterday. Turnover also increased 8.38% to QAR 311.5 million ($85.54 million) from QAR 287.4 million ($78.92 million).
The consumer goods and services was the worst performing sector as it fell 1.19% followed by the telecom with a 1.13% decrease, while the insurance rose alone by 0.09%.
Al Khaleej Takaful Group topped gainers by adding 3.20%, whereas Qatari Investors Group headed the red list with a decline of 9.95%.
Qatari Investors Group was the most traded stock with a volume of 1.06 million shares exchanged at QAR 68.9 million ($18.92 million) through 897 trades.
On Sunday, the bourse’s main index closed with a fall of 1.20% or 124.23 points to the level of 10,251.97 points.
