Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index rose on Thursday by 0.26% or 26.66 points to the level of 10,186.18 points.
Al Rayan Islamic Index and the All Share Index also grew 0.32% and 0.22% respectively.
Turnover decreased 32.5% to QAR 328.6 million from QAR 487.04 million on Wednesday.
Trading volume also shrank 53% to 10.49 million shares from 22.28 million shares exchanged yesterday.
The real estate was the best performing sector with a growth of 0.86%, as Barwa Real estate led gainers after rising 5%.
Meanwhile the banking sector declined alone by 0.25% due to the fall in most of its stocks, topped by Ahli Bank with a 2.5% decrease.
Doha Insurance led decliners by dropping 2.7% to QR 19.8 through exchanging 6,000 shares at QAR 113,000.
Qatar First Bank (FGB) was the most active stock for the second day in a row with a volume of 3.56 million shares and a turnover of QAR 48.7 million, falling 0.72% to QAR 13.75.
The bourse’s main index declined yesterday 0.18%.
