Qatari stocks shed 139 points in midsession

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index dropped 1.35% or 139.22 points, reaching the level of 10,174.52 points in Monday’s mid-trading session.

Trading volume came to 1.4 million shares exchanged at QAR 48.15 million through 1,135 trades.

The real estate sector declined 2.40%, followed by insurance (-1.59%), telecom (-1.47%), industrial (-1.27%), goods and services (-1.14%), banking (-1%) and transportation (-0.98%).  

Midsession saw 37 traded shares, where three moved up, 33 moved down and one was flat.

Islamic Holding was the top loser with a 4.60% decline, while Doha Bank was the best performer after adding 0.10%.

The bourse’s main index closed Sunday with a decrease of 1.11% or 115.62 points to the level of 10,313.74 points.
