Qatari stocks turn to green at close, gains 30 points

Doha- Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) reversed early losses by all indexes to end Monday’s trading on a positive note, supported by a collective rise by most of its sectors.

The main index rose 0.29% or 30.28 points to the level of 10,444.93 points, Al Rayan Islamic Index advanced 0.22% to 3,943.94 points, and the All Share Index grew 0.29% to 2,847.97 points.

Trading volume decreased 8.48% to 9.61 million shares. Turnover also fell 13.23% to QAR 359.96 million ($98.84 million).

Insurance was the best performing sector after adding 0.85%, followed by real estate (+0.72%), consumer goods and services (+0.64%), telecom (+0.61%), transportation (+0.25%) and banking (+0.18%).

On the other hand, the industrial sector fell alone by 0.2%.

The bourse’s main gauge dropped yesterday by 0.11% or 11.32 points to 10,414.65 points.
