Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi-listed RAK Cement bought back 1.23 million shares on 22 June, representing 8.49% of the capital, according to a bourse filing.
The company bought the shares at AED 0.81 each, totalling AED 984,000.
Accordingly, the total number of treasury shares rose to 48.69 million, with 7.2 million shares remaining to be bought as part of the company’s buyback programme.
The company’s stock rose 1.3% to AED 0.80 after generating AED 1.19 million from the exchange of 1.49 million shares.
