Dubai – Mubasher: RAK Ceramics plans to expand through establishing new plants and acquiring others in some countries, CEO Abdallah Massaad said on Sunday.
The Abu Dhabi-listed company also plans to increase its ceramic production capacity in India to 19 million square metres by the end of 2018, following the takeover of two new plants in Gujarat, according to Al Ittihad newspaper.
The UAE-based firm has projected to boost its operations in both the Indian and the Bangladeshi markets, Massaad revealed, as Al Ittihad reported.
RAK Ceramics’ recently-disclosed financial statements reflect the company’s successful policy under which many divestment deals have been closed, along with the increase in sales and the decline in the cost of production, the top official added.
The global ceramic brand considers the listing on foreign stock markets, including the Indian and the Bangladeshi markets, Massaad concluded.
