Ramadan to begin on 17 May in UAE

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The holy fasting month of Ramadan is expected to begin on Thursday 17 May, with over 13 fasting hours per day.

Also, Eid al-Fitr, three-day Muslim festival marks the end of Ramadan, is forecast to be on Friday 15 June, according to Sharjah Center for Astronomy and Space Sciences (SCASS)

"The new moon of the Holy Month of Ramadan is to be born on Tuesday 15 May around 3.48 pm, UAE time, and disappears two minutes before sunset of the same evening,” Khaleej Times reported, citing SCASS’s deputy director general Ibrahim Al Jarwan as saying.

“The temperature is expected to be around 41°C during June, while the minimum temperature is expected to reach 26," he added.
