Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Tuesday’s session on a decline, amid significant increase in trading.
The general index of the ADX fell 1.11%, or 50.26 points, to 4494.31 points.
Trading volume increased to 61.42 million shares on Tuesday compared to 47.65 million shares on Monday, as turnover reached AED 152.36 million compared to AED 97.82 million.
Most of the sectors witnessed a decline, led by the telecom sector with a 1.97% decline.
The banking sector fell 0.95%, with the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) falling 1.81%.
The real estate sector fell 0.59%, as Aldar went down by 1.38%
On the other hand, the energy sector gained 1.28%, supported by Dana Gas' 2.33% rise.
The National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) led in terms of liquidity with a turnover of AED 53.59 million, while Eshraq Properties led in terms of trading volume with the exchange of 24.58 million shares.
