The general index fell 1.09% to reach 3,773.27 points by 10:40am UAE time.
The energy sector slid 3.8% after Dana Gas retreated 4.8%.
The real estate sector levelled down 3.5% after Aldar Properties decreased 3.3%.
The banks sector sank 1.3% due to a decline in First Gulf Bank by 1.46%.
Etisalat was the most active company after generating AED 9.65 million after 614,120 shares were traded through 29 transactions.
