Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has seen a positive performance on Monday on the back of the real estate and the energy stocks.
The ADX’s general index closed today’s trading session up 0.84% at 4,997.83 points, gaining 41.58 points.
Trading volume amounted to around 46.27 million shares exchanged through 2,288 transactions at a turnover of AED 212.422 million.
The real estate stocks boosted the general index by 2.66%, backed by Aldar Properties that recorded a 2.81% increase.
Similarly, the energy sector rose by 1.64% after Taqa jumped 15%, and the banks sector added 0.82% as the heavyweight First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) rose 1.50%.
On the other hand, the insurance sector was the top decliner with 1.55%.
FAB outperformed his peers with a turnover of AED 82.722 million, while Aldar was the most active stock with around 9.219 million shares traded upon.
