Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed at a slight decline on Wednesday as the rise of real estate and telecom sectors trimmed the losses of energy and banks sectors.
The general index fell 0.01% or 0.25 points to close at 4,196.85 points.
Trading volume plunged to 42.35 million shares from 93.4 million shares. Similarly, turnover decreased to reach AED 178.84 million from AED 308.29 million.
The energy sector levelled down 1.97% as Dana Gas slid 2.44%.
The industrial sector lost 1.09% as Ras Al Khaimah Ceramic went down 5.71%.
The banks sector slumped 0.46%, dragged National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah (-1.36%), Union National Bank (-0.96%), First Gulf Bank (-0.82%) and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (-0.25%).
The real estate sector led gainers after adding 2.34% due to a rise in Aldar Properties and Manazel Holding by 3.08% and 1.79%, respectively.
The telecom sector advanced 0.31% as Etisalat grew 0.31%.
