Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has fallen slightly on Wednesday, pressured by the real estate and the telecommunication sectors.
The ADX’s general index inched down 0.54 points, or 0.01%, finishing the session at 5,123.94 points.
Trading volume amounted to 495.563 million shares exchanged through 1,570 transactions at a turnover of AED 1.129 billion.
The stock market was mainly dragged down by both the real estate and the telecommunication sectors which fell 2.10% and 0.98%, respectively.
Similarly, the energy sector shed 0.52% as Dana Gas lost 1.33%.
On the other hand, the services sector rose 6.36% on the back of Abu Dhabi National Hotels which jumped 14.71%.
The banks sector edged up 0.36% as the heavyweight First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) added 0.64%.
Wahat Al Zaweya was the most active stock, upon which 101 million shares were traded on at a turnover of AED 237.319 million.
