Mubasher: The Qatar stock exchange (QSE) ended Monday’s trading session in the red, pressured by the fall real estate and transportation sectors.
The general index inched down 0.31%, or 28.2 points, to finish at 9,111.97 points.
The QSE’s liquidity increased 95.2% to QAR 403.97 million on Monday from QAR 206.98 million on Sunday, while the trading volume went up 101.9% to 16.9 million shares against 8.37 million in the previous session.
The real estate sector topped the QSE’s five losers falling 1.6%, followed by the transportation, which declined 1.2%.
Meanwhile, the banking sector topped the bourse’s two gainers adding 0.24%, followed by the goods sector, which levelled up 0.17%.
Mesaieed’s stock, which rose 0.5%, led the market in terms of trading volume with 6.27 million shares, generating QAR 110.38 million in a turnover.
