Real estate boosts QSE at Monday’s open

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose 0.34% or 34.55 points to reach 10,098.9 points in Monday’s opening trades.

By 10:07 am Qatar time, four sectors increased led by real estate with 1.53% as Ezdan Holding Group grew 2.19% and Barwa Real Estate gained 0.74%.

The services sector went up 0.48% after Zad Holding, Medicare Group, and Qatar Fuel (Woqod) levelled up 9.88%, 0.85%, and 0.64%, respectively.

The telecoms sector increased 0.4% as Vodafone Qatar rose 0.96% and Ooredoo grew 0.29%.

On the flipside, three sectors were down, topped by the transportation sector with 0.39% after Gulf Warehousing, Nakilat, and Qatar Navigation (Milaha) lost 0.57%, 0.40%, and 0.29%, respectively.

Liquidity reached QAR 22.85 million after 1.18 million shares were traded through 506 transactions.

Vodafone Qatar’s stock led in terms of traded volume with 398,020 shares, while Ezdan was the most active stock in terms of liquidity with a value of QAR 5.45 million.
